Poetry
You can not quell the fire in my soul,
shining through my eyes,
that burns with passion, love, and truth,
my fire...
You can not melt the ice deep in my eyes,
which glitters with cool control,
and can halt your tumbling words,
my ice...
You can not weaken the emotions that I feel,
they are strong, true,
and hidden from your knowledge,
my emotions...
You can not crush the will that I possess,
which is wielded, like a sword,
it will never give in to things that threaten,
my will...
You can not heal the fear within my mind,
which makes me fear myself,
and all of you, no matter what you do,
my fear...
You can not stop the beliefs within my heart,
I know them to be true,
and trust them, you cannot shake that trust,
my beliefs...
You can not earn my trust with a single rose,
it is very cautious, does not give in,
until you have proven yourself time and again,
my trust...
You can not rid me of my insecurities,
they creep in, from everywhere,
and you can not stop them, help me to,
my insecurities...
You can not win my love,
it is given, not for acts, but for truth,
I need your love in return,
my love...
